E! TV HOST USES ARC SCISSORS TO TRIM HER HUSBAND’S HAIR

E! TV Host At-Home Hair Trim With ARC™ Scissors & Adir Abergel

It’s no secret: We could all use a haircut right about now. So when her husband’s hair was getting out of control, E! Daily Pop Host Carissa Culiner called in the help of a professional. Virtue® Creative Director and celeb stylist Adir Abergel (@hairbyadir) joined Carissa on @edailypop’s Instagram Live to talk her through an at-home haircut using ARC™ Scissors.

Disclaimer: Of course, you don't want your clients to cut their hair at home! But if a client contacts you and says she is doing it and nothing can stop her, you might as well talk her through it. She trusts you and values your education!

To get started, Adir explained some scissor basics. Then, he had Carissa practice holding and moving the shears correctly so she didn’t accidentally cut herself—or her husband! “The HARMONY II scissors from ARC™ are very sharp. So finger position and the right motion is super important,” Adir explained.

Setting up her client, aka husband Shanon Culiner, Carissa was ready to use the HARMONY II from ARC™ to trim her husband’s long locks with step-by-step instructions from Adir. To keep his look more masculine and less structured, Adir explained how to trim the perimeter at more of an angle to avoid turning the cut into a blunt bob.

Once the cut was complete, Adir taught Carissa how to do a simple no-heat style: Create two-strand twists and secure with scrunchies (her husband really rocked those scrunchies!).

All-in-all, the at-home haircut was a success, but Adir warns clients: If you’re looking for a more intricate haircut, wait for your hairstylist! “Instead of thinking ‘quarantine’ think ‘self care-antine.’ Take care of yourself, slow down and recharge while we’re all at home. The best thing is a good hair mask!” he encouraged viewers.
